A speculative layer of living sound.
Within the imaginative realm of our studio practice, we have envisioned and constructed an augmented stratum of existence – an invisible layer that overlays the real world, subtly shifting the way we perceive our surroundings.
Embedded within this speculative ecology are emergent lifeforms that awaken in the presence of sound. We call them Ultrasound.
These sound-responsive entities inhabit overlooked crevices and expansive surfaces alike – manifesting across environments from the organic to the architectural, and at scales both micro and monumental.
Through processes of cultivation and observation, we have traced the behavioral rhythms of these lifeforms. The result is a multi-channel video installation that presents simultaneous perspectives: a choreography of Ultrasound entities resonating to auditory pulses, revealing the uncanny ways sound animates matter.
